Default Anyone in NW Arkansas?

I'm going to be in Rogers, AR the first week in March and would like to know what goes on then for fishing smaller rivers, creeks, ponds and lakes. Thanks in advance. Alex

Welcome to the forum.
I'd also like to know. I have family in AR and wouldn't mind fishing their one day.

I'm around Little Rock which is central. Will let you know as I find things out.
The Ozarks have plenty of canoe/kayak water but I have yet to fish it.

I've been out just a few times. Once to one of the feeders to Lake Maumelle. It's called Sleepy Hollow and it's about 1 mile west of the lake just off Highway 10. Nice body of water and it feeds the lake. Other than that it's been a few small city lakes.

Nice!
Did you manage to snap any pictures of the locations while you were out there?

Camera may come later. Today we may head for Searcy, about an hour north of Little Rock, to check out the lower end of the Little Red river there. The water is cold and it will be in the high 90's today so it may be a great afternoon! I doubt the trout come that far downstream but I hope to see some other species out and about.

It was just too hot to be out for long but we did a good recon of the lower part of the Little Red near Searcy. Found a couple of good possibilities for cool flat water floating. Also saw some water moving pretty good. In my research I found that in the upper reaches, the cold water from the bottom of Greers Ferry Lake is great for trout and not so good for indigenous species like largemouthg bass and catfish. But further down, where we were, there are some of those along with bream, crappie, and drum. I chanced to meet a guy who works with the water company there and he had helped builds two overflow dams to create a freshwater pool for Searcy and that area of White County. The water is a clear deep green color and pretty dang cold even now! Next weekend will be less furnace-y and we plan to go back. It's about an hour drive, no biggie.

Found a pretty nice spot to put in just east of Searcy AR. I didn't go too far but it was very nice. Real cold water which is rare in the delta. I hears that there are walleye in those parts so i am going to gear up and try for some. It's about 45 minutes from the house so a weekend adventure.
