What color and why?



I like red and yellow.

High visibility. And sharp

Main thing is to choose a kayak that is a bright color. No sense in buying a kayak that will have you getting run over by other boats or left for dead if you flip over or something. Yellow is the top choice IMO.

I agree with a bright color, and I add a flag whenever I'm crossing or fishing on open water. Not ideal for wildlife watching or hunting and maybe not ideal for fish looking up in clear water at a big blob of yellow or orange on the surface, but it's better than getting run over.

Olive green is also nice.
I just always liked darker millitary colors.
