Advice for a Noob - Tarpon 130X

Greetings to the Offshore Kayak Fishing Community --

Total noob here, absolutely obsessed with the sport.

Been fishing and spearfishing all my life... Just tried a kayak out for the first time and freakin' LOVED IT!

Looking to buy my first boat... Found what I think is a good deal on a new Wilderness Systems Tarpon 130X.

I know it's an older model, not even built by WS anymore.

But the price is roughly half of what a new boat will cost me. I can get it for under $800.

So, my question... Is it worth it, or should I wait (everything else is sold out) and, when they're available, pony up $1400+ for a new model?
